The original Inu Yasha series, you may remember, got axed before the full manga had been completed - the show was having regular problems with running out of material after catching up with the manga, and the filler episodes that had to be resorted to then were the bane of many a fan's existence. The promise was made at the time, though, that a way would be found to finish the series once the manga was complete - the manga wound up last year, and now there's word that the anime will now be continued, in the form of Inuyasha Kanketsu-hen (Inuyasha Final Chapter. The series will carry on from where the 'first season' left off, and will begin airing in Japan in the autumn.
