According to AnimeNation News, Animeigo's license to Macross expires at the end of the year. The show was sub-licensed from Harmony Gold, whose rights remain intact.
Animeigo's site has a special offer of 40% off the Macross DVD sets until December 21, presumably as an incentive to shift their remaining stock. Get 'em while you can.
