So on the one hand I'm happy with the news that Genshiken looks set to get a second season, Genshiken Continuation (げんしけん 続編), which Moonphase is reporting will air in late 2006. This was one of the funniest series of 2004/05, mainly because the average anime fan can see so much of themselves in Madarame & co that it's scary.
But there's the curse of the sequel to worry about. Hopefully the second season will be just as good at reminding us fans just how weird and wonderful we really are as the first season was...
