I've never "got" Dragonball. It kind of epitomises everything I think is wrong about shounen fighting shows, and the size of its fanbase will forever mystify me. But that fanbase will no doubt be pleased to know that the live-action Dragonball movie has been given the go-ahead, with filming due to begin shortly, ahead of a planned August 2008 US release. A UK release will no doubt follow. Justin Chatwin will play Goku, while James Marsters (Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) gets the part of bad guy Piccolo.
