FUNimation's UK distributors Revelation Films sent out their Q1 2008 solicitations last week, and one thing that's very noticeable is that their releases have gone from being bi-monthly to quarterly (in plain English: from every 2 months to every 3). The big downside of this is that series will now thake that much longer to release - a typical 6-volume show will now take 15 months instead of 10 from first volume to last - and fans aren't likely to appreciate that. There is some logic in allowing stores that bit longer to sell through volumes, though. The move is being seen as a sign that the UK market is getting over-crowded, with enough titles on the shelves that fans are having to pick & choose - some of the insanely cheap offers that other distibutors have been offering lately would seem to back that up.
