 ...but its publishers promise a replacement that's just as good. AD Vision have been busy informing their retail partners that the February issue of Newtype/USA, which has been running since late-2002, will be the last, but according to ANN plans for a replacement publication are due to be announced within the next few days. Following on so quickly from the demise of Anime Network's linear services (another ADV venture), there had been the usual fan speculation that the company was in trouble, but I'd treat that with a pinch of salt, myself. Waiting patiently to see what the replacement offers...
UPDATE: The new mag will be called PiQ, and will apparently cover...
...anime, manga, video games and other aspects of pop culture of keen interests to [Newtype readers].
