Sui is a girl with damaged eyes, who now lives inside a lightless room to protect herself against the pain that exposure to light can cause her. Biki is the nearest thing she has to a friend - abandoned by her family and handed over to the care of Biki's, Sui's life is not a happy one. Living in darkness would, you'd think, be a solitary experience, but inside her shed Sui's begun to see other creatures. The mushi, perhaps - and that draws Ginko to the situation. Turns out he may have a solution to both Sui's and Biki's problem...
