Their latest project is Michiko to Hatchin, which follows the adventures of free-willed "sexy diva" Michiko who, after destroying a supposedly inescapable prison fortress, joins young girl Hatchin (who's fleeing her strict foster parents) on an improbable escape to freedom. Or so it says. May not sound like much from that, but given the people behind it, I'm more than a little curious... |
If manglobe as a name isn't familiar to you, some of their work should be - they're the studio behind both Samurai Champloo and Ergo Proxy, the latter of which is one of my favourite current shows. They definitely have the knack for doing something different.
