If you've been paying attention to Bandai Entertainment's website lately, you'll notice that they've been gearing up to what seems to be a major announcement, to be made at Fanime later today. All very cryptic, and if you've missed the saga, go read this AoD forum thread

A Japanese press release from parent company Bandai Namco seems to have solved the mystery ahead of time, though - a rough translation is that Bandai Visual USA (they of high-price, no-dub, woeful-distribution titles) is to be wound up and folded into Bandai Entertainment, with the result that BE will gain the rights to the shows released / licensed by BV/USA. Full details will no doubt come out of Fanime later, but this may bring some hope for people who were interested in the shows that BV/USA were putting out, but weren't about to pay their premium prices.
