Najica Blitz TacticsThe fanservice festival that is Najica Blitz Tactics continues, with some more capture missions for Najica and Lila to carry out - and the first indications that the artificial humans have their flaws. All Humaritts are meant to have a human master - but what happens if a Humaritt is activated without one..?

5 - The Fragile Dream with a Crimson Coloured Horizon
Another mission for Najica and Lila, and another Humaritt for them to recover - although where they all came from and why they're so widespread is still quite the mystery. Under investigation this time is Kidel, who has plans for world domination and who's suspected of having acquired a Humaritt - but Kidel and his forces are already aware that Najica's on her way, and her infiltration plans are ruined before the mission even gets started. Time for Plan B - but Kidel's well prepared for anything that Najica can throw at him...

6 - The Beautiful Beast's Eyes with a Lonely Shadow
A gunfight between two rival factions results in the inadvertent release of a Humaritt and her escape into the wild - and with this one not having any master to control her, there's an urgency to recover her that Najica hasn't had to deal with before. After being airlifted into the area in which the Humaritt was last seen, Najica and Lila begin their search - but they're not the only group on the lookout for her, while the Humaritt's combat abilities seems to have been underplayed...

7 - The Murderous Bullet Shot with a Wry Smile
While looking fine on the outside, Lila had taken a lot of damage during her last mission - enough that, if she were human, it would have taken her around 3 months to recover. Fortunately, she's not human, but she'll still be out of action for a while - and it's now clear that she's not infallible. It also prompts Najica to start asking questions about the origins of the Humaritts that she probably shouldn't be asking. Whether she likes to admit it or not, her childlike partner seems to have gotten her hooks into her. While waiting for Lila to recover, meanwhile, there are still missions for Najica to complete: this time, it's to guard a child genius who's defecting from her former home - and it's certain that there'll be an attempt to recapture her...

DowntimeKidnapper

8 - The Sky of Desire with a Swirling Battle Flame
Toni is a Humaritt - that's already known - but her appearance is a mystery: all that's known is that her master is a black-market weapons dealer by the name of Rasse. He's expected to make an appearance at a military tradeshow, and so Najica and Lila have been tasked with attending (in the guide of boothbabes, natch) and seeing if they can identify Toni and bring her in. But without knowing what their target even looks like, it doesn't look like being the most exciting of assignments. Toni's eventual appearance, and her attempt to steal the show's top fighter jet exhibit, soon livens their day up, though...

OjousamaWaiting for trouble

As expected, Najica's beginning to get more attached to Lila as time passes, to the stage know where she's telling people off for referring to her simply as a machine. The true nature of the Humaritts is something that's beginning to bother her greatly, and the more you see of them the more you can understand where she's coming from. Lila's slowly beginning to learn, too - there's still not a whole lot of personality there (her appeal is almost purely in her cuteness), but she's not quite the blank slate that she was when she was first introduced, and that's a welcome bit of character development.

On the story side... For all that Najica's ongoing plot is slim, to say the least, there's plenty of the usual gun-toting, non-lethal action (when Najica's shooting, at least - Lila and the bad guys don't seem to be quite so reluctant to kill) here to keep you amused. Failing that, there's always the panties, which are just as prominent as they've always been.

At the moment, Najica is essentially standalone action with a large dose of fanservice on the side - there are one or two ongoing threads there, but while I expect them to come to the fore more before the end of the series, they're not yet anything substantial. The show doesn't set out to do a whole lot, but succeeds brilliantly at doing it to become a real guilty pleasure. Best watched when you couldn't be bothered thinking, this'll keep you entertained while leaving the brain to do nothing but enjoy the camera angles. If that's what you're looking for, then this won't disappoint.
