Bishojo manga turned OVA, Guardian Hearts covers the adventures of Hina, sent to Earth to protect the innocent etc etc. Expect plenty of fanservice...
It's a Secret, but Hina is a Guardian Heart
Hina arrives on Earth to carry out her duties as a Guardian Heart. Rule
#1: Don't let the Earth people find out your true identity - so it's
not good when she appears directly in front of Kazuya, blowing her
cover before she's even started. Fortunately for her, Kazuya already
lives with a house-full of various other mahou shoujo, so it doesn't
really bother him when his mother decides to let Hina move in...
All the girls there already seem to have the hots for Kazuya &
aren't overly happy at the though of another of moving in - to Kazuya's
own room, at that! - and Hina doesn't help matters when, in her
Guardian Heart form, she interferes in their plans to seduce him. Thus
begins the plotting to get rid of the Guardian Heart. Fortunately for
Hina, the rest of the girls don't realise it's her...
Help Me, Angel in White
Kazuya's not well after the previous ep's 'adventures', so he's tucked
up in bed with the 'flu. Cue a competition between the girls over who
can nurse him back to health the best - a competition which probably
does his health more harm than good!
Hot Spring Vacation, Pure Heart Style... The Girls Travelling
Around the Not-Known Hot Springs Saw! A Banquet with Girls Only!
...There Will be Breast Shots!
Nothing like being upfront in the episode title, I guess.... When Hina
(in her Guardian Heart form) accidentally destroys half of their house,
it's time for a visit to the onsen while repairs are carried out.
Meanwhile, Space-ninja Maya has a problem - her clan's first rule is
that they must marry the first man to see them naked - and Kazuya's
been seeing her naked an awful lot lately...
Chelsea's Magical Birthday
It's Chelsea's birthday, but since she hasn't been having much luck in
her pursuit of Kazuya's affections, it's not quite the occasion she
wanted it to be - even without Daisy being a definite meanie to her.
Not wanting to let the day pass without something of a party, she tries to hint to the other girls about her special day, but they just aren't listening...
Switch your mind off before you start. A short series, this (6
episodes over 3 discs, so expect a 'Final Thoughts' review of the rest
soon), and that's probably just as well, as too much of this would get
old real fast. As it is, it's presented in manageable chunks & the
sheer ecchi-ness level makes it fun to watch. If you're looking for a
deep plot, however, forget it.
If this had been a full-length TV series I'd have ditched it as
deriviate & shallow. But since it's a short OVA, I'm very
forgiving. Good mindless fun for those who love their ecchi. |
