Next up, the final episode of the first Guu OVA series. I'm kinda thankful there's a second OVA coming that'll hopefully do a better job of tying things up...
6 Doggie and Bunny
'No good comes from talking to guys in straw hats', says Hale, just
before Guu makes him bring one home. At first he seems okay (cue
lengthy conversation about Hale's many games consoles), but then he
whips out his flick knife & takes Hale & Guu hostage. Again
(we've seen this guy before, and he's still out for revenge against
Weda...). The usual Guu wierdness kicks in as Dama comes to the rescue...
When TV shows turn OVA, you kinda expect them to take more chances & push the fanservice limits or whatever. Guu Deluxe
was disappointing in that it's just more of the TV show's high jinks.
There's also a distinct lack of any more hints about what exactly Guu
is - but I guess that's been left for the next OVA series, Guu Final. We'll see.
Anyway, good mindless humour of the very wacky variety. Good stuff. |
