 Combat maids - now there's an original idea. It's Moekkan the Animation...
1 - Rinia
Chief Takahiro Kanzaki has what some would consider to be the ideal job
- running a Combat Maid Training Academy on a remote island. Old
acquaintance Rei has just arrived from Head Office with news that he'll
be training up the latest Android Maid, named Rinia. Takahiro's less
than impressed with Rinia when she arrives, though - an obsolete model,
no memories, and not the sort of personality you'd expect from a combat
android. It's no long before her natural clumsiness is wreaking havoc
on the island, either...
You probably guessed from the intro paragraph that this didn't
really impress me, and you'd be right. Never though I'd say it, but
I've seen enough maid shows in the past year or so to last me for a
while, unless they bring something original to the genre - but Moekkan
doesn't. I gave up half-way through the first episode, and can't see
myself watching the rest - there's too maany other, better shows doing
the rounds at the moment. |
