Another interesting weekend for licensing announcements. FUNimation had dropped hints about having a "major" new announcement planned for Megacon, and then surprised no-one by announcing the Full Metal Alchemist movie. Meanwhile, over at the New York Comic Con, 4Kids spoiled the weekend of mahou shoujo fans everywhere by announcing their license for Pretty Cure - their localised version will appear on TV screen in September, with the bilingual DVD release appearing around the time hell freezes over. Also at NYCC, ADV announced Kono Minikuku wo Utsukushii Sekai (to be released as This Ugly Yet Beautiful World, a small change from the "official" English title of the show) and the Area 88 OVA series, originally released by CPM back in VHS days.
