Megami Deluxe Volume 6Bishoujo fans, perk up your.. err.. eyeballs, as the latest edition of bishoujo fanservice spectacular Megami Deluxe is here.  This edition focuses on Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, with large servings of DCSS and SHUFFLE! for good measure.  What's not to like..?

Lyrical Nanoha was one of those rare magical girl series that didn't manage to capture my attention - although by most accounts I'm in the minority and, particularly with the second season, definitely missing out on a good series.  Ooops.  With the series being a spin-off from an H-game, you'd expect the character designs to be pleasing on the eye, and there's no disappointment there.  Just try not to think of the characters' ages, okay?  The images on the double-sided poster are available as body-pillows (advertised in the magazine) and have a suitably "I'm all yours" feel to them - the remaining images are more in the normal mould, with nothing too OTT.  A good collection of images overall.

The swimwear section of Megami is an old staple - the anime equivalent of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, if you like.  Most of the images here are good stuff, but some of them stray into unusual artistic styles that perhaps don't best show off the characters - one of the Kasimasi images, along with the SHUFFLE! and Solty Rei pics are guilty of this and would be the least appealing of what's on offer.  Hard to pick favourites out of what's left - this is possibly the best section of the magazine.
