What They Say...
Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura are mystified as to why Kakashi would send them to the cinema to watch a movie in preparation for their next mission, but none of them is complaining. Naruto, in particular, is completely besotted by the heroine, Princess Gale, played by the beautiful and charismatic leading lady, Yukie Fujikaze. The reasoning behind this rather strange aspect of Kakashi's training methods soon becomes apparent when, much to the delight of Naruto and his teammates, they are given the job of guarding the actress during the making of her next movie, which is being shot on location in the Land of the Snow. Unfortunately, Naruto is soon brought down to earth with a bump when he realizes that off-screen Yukie is a hard-drinking, tantrum-throwing diva with no respect for her fans or her co-stars.
The reality, unknown to those around her, is that Yukie is actually the true princess of the Land of Snow, a territory taken over by a band of rogue ninjas responsible for the assassination of Yukie's father. Leading the villains is her evil uncle, Doto, who is determined to get his hands on her crystal necklace, which he believes holds the key to unlocking the secrets of the Land of Snow's hidden treasure. Not surprisingly, what should have been a simple bodyguarding assignment for Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi quickly degenerates into a series of deadly battles between good and evil, with life dangerously reflecting the art of the movies. But does Naruto have what it takes to protect his movie princess and save the day? And what is the secret treasure of the Land of Snow?
Naruto's first big screen adventure is a fantastic addition to the Naruto universe, with all the thrills, excitement, humour and action that have become the trademark elements of the hit anime series.
