DNAngel takes a break from all things Dark (he
gets all of two lines in the whole disc, and isn't even on-screen for
them) to sort out Daisuke's love life. After pussy-footing around
his waning feelings for Risa and his growing love for Riku, it's
finally time for the two of them to get it together.
Awww. Only problem is, Mio's got her own plans for Daisuke, and
they don't involve a happy future...

Been a while since I got the chance to indulge in the guilty pleasure that is Tokyo Mew Mew.
Oh, how I've missed thee. With the end of the series getting ever
closer, expect the suspense to be ramped up anytime now - but for these
episodes, there's the small matter of Zakuro and her apparent desire to
switch sides to deal with, while Aoyama's beginning to have worrying
dreams about Ichigo...

With only one volume remaining after this one, Revolutionary Girl Utena
finally casts off its duel-of-the-week formula and begins to set the
groundwork for its finale. The most surprising thing here is when
Utena begins to start acting like, well, a girl, as Akio's charms begin
to win her over and Touga expresses his own feelings for her, but it
seems Anthy's been up to some late-night shenanigans behind her back...

The thing with releasing a movie adaptation of a story within
a few months of a TV series covering the same story, is that it's far
too easy to make comparisons. Air's theatrical
release tries to make itself stand on its own by making a number of
changes to the fringes of the story, while leaving the main events
intact & recognisable, but it still doesn't manage to have enough
of itself in it to make it worthwhile.

Planetes, or ΠΛΑΝΗΤΕΣ if you want
to be completely accurate (meaning "wanderers" and the root word for
the English word "planets", language fans - the Greek is the show's
official title but is usually romanized for ease of use) introduces Ai
Tanabe - fresh out of college and headed for her dream job as an
astronaut, she's about to discover that dreams rarely live up to
reality. I suppose there are worse jobs that orbital garbage
collector...

Ichigo 100% continues, as does Junpei's
accumulation of cute women. What I wouldn't give to be in his
shoes - except without all the awkward relationship problems, the
stalkings, the misunderstandings, the broken bones... He's
quickly finding out that being popular with the ladies carries a whole
host of problems with it...
