Cowboy Bebop - Volume 6 (Cover Art)I seem to be doing a lot of 'final instalments' at the moment - this time it's Cowboy Bebop, which most people will admit is one of the best anime series produced to date.  After a short detour to the strange world of religious cults, Faye, Ed and Spike come to the end of their stories, each in their own unique way.  And I challenge anyone not to be moved when the choir begins to sing at the end of episode 26...

Air - Title CardAnd so Air finally comes to an end.  And then gets quickly rerun and ends again - among other things, this series gets an award for the strangest positioning of a recap episode I've ever seen, but that's probably one of the less confusing aspects to these episodes.  If you hadn't lost track of what was going on before now, you will here...

Samurai Champloo - Volume 1 (Cover Art)It's by the folk who brought you Cowboy Bebop, it has some similar themes and characters, and it's great fun to watch.  I know people have been lynched for less, but I have to tell the truth: Samurai Champloo is Cowboy Bebop, only with hip-hop and samurai instead of jazz and bounty-hunters.  So sue me.

Megami #64 - Cover ArtIt may be dated September, but this issue of Megami hit the streets in August - that's still summer, so there's still a high proportion of summer-themed and swimsuit pics in this issue.  Which is never a bad thing.  A few pointers to next season's new shows, too, so let's take a look...

Xenosaga - Kukai FoundationTrying to clear out my backlog of last season's shows, and Xenosaga is next on the list.  After the battles of the last episode, the arrival of Durandal and Elsa at the Kukai Foundation initially promises to bring a little R&R to Shion and friends, but things are never that easy in anime...
