FUNimation have now confirmed that they do hold the rights to Shikabane Hime, and that the series will be streamed for free through You Tube, Joost, Hulu and their own website, beginning on October 24th - that's a mere three-week delay over the Japanese airing (although probably still not quick enough to stop the fansub brigade getting to it). There'll also be a download-to-own option through FUNi's website, at US$1.99 per episode - although if they stick to their usual format, that will be for a DRM-encumbered, Windows-only file which is no good to me. The series is set to run for 13 episodes.
