I can think of a few people I'd like Lina to use the Dragon Slave on, too. Having asked for fans' opinions a while back, it now seems that MVM have opted to license the full Slayers series, with the first volume slated for release on 5th January (£15.99, but no details yet on what the volume / episode count will be). I suspect their PR company have stolen some thunder that was meant to be reserved for this weekend's London Expo, but good news is good news whatever the source!
