First up is the 'big one', which to be fair we probably all knew they had already: Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which will make its DVD debut is August, with the series also due to be streamed via their website "soon". For those who've been living under a rock for the past few years, Brotherhood is a 'reboot' of the FMA series that is intended to be more faithful to the source manga. Strangely, the series doesn.'t seem to have developed the same following as the original series, but from what I've seen of it it's just as good.
Number two on the list is Sengoku Basara, or Samurai Kings as it'll be titled for its UK release. This is a game-to-anime conversion (are those warning sirens I hear?), with Capcom responsible for the source material, which takes us to the Warring States period to follow the adventures of Sanada Yukimura and Date Masamune, two young warriors from different regions who become heated rivals, begin to form an unlikely alliance with the rest of the generals to take down the Devil King, Oda Nobunaga. That's treading a lot of the same territory as Samurai Deeper Kyo, for which I have a very unfavourable review sitting in the queue to be posted at the moment - hopefully this will be more watchable. DVD release is set for October, again with online streaming sometime before then.
The final title on the list is a license rescue of sort: Ah! My Goddess: Flights of Fancy, the second season of the A!MG TV series. ADV UK managed to release the first two volumes of the series before the Great Sojitz Fallout, leaving the rest of the series in limbo, so many thanks to Manga for riding to the rescue. I wonder if they've got any other ex-ADV titles in their sights. Flights of Fancy will ship as three releases, the first of which is due in May.
