Tai Chi ChasersMost anime fans can I think breathe a sigh of relief, as 4Kids have announced a relatively unknown title (to Western fandom, anyway) as their return to their anime roots. Japanese / South Korean co-production Tai Chi Chasers is the "lucky" title, and is described in the official 4Kids blurb as focussing on...

...Rai, a young orphan, shocked to discover he's a secret descendent of the Tigeroids: an ancient race of peaceful beings locked in struggle with the ruthless and cunning Dragonoids. In a parallel universe called Suhn, the Tigeroids and Dragonoids are locked in an age-old race to recover 500 lost tai chi symbols. Whoever recovers these precious and potent symbols will possess the ultimate power to rule their realm…and destroy their enemies. Rai must now hone his innate tai chi card skills to fight the Dragonoids, find the lost symbols and battle to become one of the champion Tai Chi Chasers.

The series runs for 39 episodes and is fairly obviously little more than a marketing tool. 4Kids has the rights to distribute the series worldwide, excluding Asia. After some other high-profile shows were mentioned in the rumour mill, it's good to see they've picked a series that I doubt too many people will care about...
