Manga UKLondon Expo's October edition is now underway, and while there are no anime-related panels until tomorrow, licensing news is already beginning to flow. Manga UK are first out of the blocks, with their poster promoting Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya being fairly good proof that they'll be releasing it. A later tweet from the company confirmed a DVD & Blu-ray release in Summer 2011. To add to the fun, there's also now confirmation that they'll be releasing Season 2 of the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya TV series (the first season was released by Beez, so nice steal there, Manga) and the The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya shorts as well, in association with Kadokawa Pictures. No dates for those yet, though. Haruhi's star has waned somewhat since the first season aired, and while the Endless Eight arc didn't help the second season's reputation the movie has been generally well-received - so looking forward to these ones, whenever they appear.
