CrunchyrollWhile anime streaming and download site has been making great strides in providing a legal download-to-own option lately, the presence of a huge archive of "user-submitted" anime - pretty much 100% of it falling into the illegal and/or fansub categories, leave a bitter taste in many fans who like to keep their activites above-board, including myself. That now looks set to change. To coincide with the arrival of Naruto on the service (see separate article), Crunchyroll have announced that from 8 January 2009 they will no longer accept user-submitted material, and will instead only host videos where they have approval from the relevant copyright holders. Seems the GDH investment may have had a good effect after all.
