It's unlikely you'll have heard of it, but anime title La Maison en Petits Cubes, directed by Kunio Kato, has picked up the Oscar for Best Short Film (Animated) at this years awards. The short is the story of an old man adapting to changing circumstances and looking back on his life as the world gradually floods with water. Hadn't heard of it myself, but any awards for anime are worth a mention, and this is one Oscar winner that I'm actually now keen to see...
