It's not often that anime makes an appearance at western awards ceremonies, but Afro Samurai: Resurrection has a chance of bucking the trend after receiving a nomination in the Outstanding Animated Program (for programming one hour or more) category at this year's Emmy awards. The awards will be presented on September 20th.
