Scotland Loves AnimeGLASGOW, UK – August 10, 2010 – We are excited to announce Scotland Loves Anime, taking place from the 8th to 10th of October in Glasgow and the 15th to 17th of October in Edinburgh this year!

Our 2010 lineup consist of: Trigun Badlands Rumble, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, One Piece Strong World, Evangelion 2.0, Summer Wars, Redline, Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva and Cowboy Bebop the Movie.

Scotland Loves Anime will be your only chance to see several of the films in this lineup in the UK in 2010 – so be ready to grab your tickets when they go on sale later this month! We also have some amazing guests from the UK, Japan and the USA over both weekends as well as more yet to announce so stay tuned!

Glasgow – The GFT ( Friday, October 8th to Sunday, October 10th
Edinburgh – Filmhouse Cinema ( Friday, October 15th to Sunday, October 17th
Dundee – DCA as part of the Discovery Film Festival ( October 22nd-26th

Our film line-up is below, we will confirm running order across the weekend by the start of September for both weekends via our website.

Tickets for the Glasgow weekend will go on sale on August 19th, Edinburgh’s tickets will go on sale not long after that. We’ll post a link to where you can buy tickets. Buying early would be advised in many of the films cases as this will be the last and/or only chance in 2010 to see a lot of the lineup in the UK!

Scotland Loves Animation is a non-profit charity for the promotion of animation in Scotland. Our remit is to work all year round to bring screenings, workshops and talks to a range of different audiences across the country.
